MT had a chance to go aboard the new Elba 45 from Fountaine Pajot during both the Cannes and the Annapolis boats shows and came away mightily impressed. The look of the new Elba is thoroughly modern with hard chines in the hulls, a pleasing reverse sheer line and a raised cockpit on top of the hardtop Bimini. The saloon and cockpit merge to form a huge living space. Eight people can dine at the outside cockpit table and you can get an equal party around the table in the saloon. The galley is along the port side of the saloon and is huge. The Elba 45 can be had with either a three cabin owner’s configuration or the four cabin version. I think the longest palindrome ever conceived goes like this: ableIwasereIsawelba. And that goes for the new FP Elba 45, too.
